In honor of our dearly beloved friend, Dr Sal Caputo, who passed away 6 years ago on Sunday, August 6, 2017, I wrote this song and sang it at his funeral. Sal will always be in our hearts and minds.

The Gentle Giant

The Gentle Giant was a friend of mine

When he rode into town

All the people laughed and sang

When he was around

A selfless man he was for sure

Healing all who came

A loving father and husband too

He will always remain

He’s resting in a better place

With the good Lord by his side

We shed a tear and mourn for him

A never ending changing tide

The Gentle Giant was a friend of mine

When he rode into town

All the people laughed and sang

When he was around

-He’s around

-He’ll always be around…
